If you have spent a great deal of time wishing for longer fuller lashes, know that you are not alone. Many women spend a great deal of time and money trying to make their lashes appear thicker and longer. We use everything from mascara, to lash curlers, to false eyelashes in our quest for the perfect lashes. What if you could have the lashes of your dreams without all that hassle? You can with lash extensions.
What Are Lash Extensions?
You're probably familiar with false eyelashes. These synthetic lashes usually come in a strip and are applied along the lash line with glue. Falsies usually need to be reapplied every day. Lash extensions are also synthetic lashes, but they are applied individually on top of your existing lashes. You choose the color, length, and shape of your extensions for just the look you want. These semi-permanent lash enhancements stay in place until your natural lashes shed, giving you 4-6 weeks of gorgeous lashes.
Are Lash Extensions Right for Me?
The great thing about lash extensions is that they are so customizable. They can work for anyone. It doesn't matter what shape your eyes are or how long or thick your natural lashes are. Extensions can be applied to give you the exact look, length, and volume that you want.
How Should I Prepare for My Appointment?
You should arrive for your appointment with your skin and eyes clean, dry, and makeup-free. This will allow faster prep and ensure the most secure application of your lash extensions for the longest-lasting results.
How Should I Care for My New Extensions?
You should avoid wetting your lashes for at least 24 hours after your extensions are applied. After this initial waiting period, you can go back to your normal routine. You should, however, avoid using oil-based products on or near your lashes as these can break down the adhesive used to apply for your extensions.
